Incorporated in 2021 as a chemical-free and eco-friendly fertilizer manufacturer, Star Agri Business Lanka (Pvt) Ltd was founded on the principle of introducing organic, eco-friendly agricultural solutions to the domestic market.

Housed in an ultra-modern manufacturing plant based in Monaragala, Sri Lanka, today the company is led by a team of professionals with a vision to transform the agricultural industry of the country.
Keeping in line with rigorous quality assurance processes under the expert eyes of industry-trained professionals, the products are manufactured using sustainably sourced raw materials and ingredients of the highest quality. After manufacturing, the end products are carefully tested on various quality parameters to meet the best quality standards. We ensure that all our produce and operations comply with, or exceed, the Sri Lanka Quality Standards Framework (SLS).
We take pride in the quality of our products and sourcing quality raw materials from the surrounding locality and have proven to be a sustainable mechanism of procuring raw materials whilst making positive social impacts and becoming financially beneficial to the community.
As part of our sustainable development plan, we are working towards placing cutting machines manufactured in-house, at identified stations around the island, enabling villages to sell raw materials such as cut plants and leaves at the actual weight. Sustainability measures are also taken to ensure the materials are sourced respecting the provisions made for their regrowth.
We also take pride in creating new job opportunities for the local villagers and thereby being an integral part of uplifting the livelihoods of many families and the community they belong to. Currently, nearly 100 direct and indirect employees have been recruited to our cadre from the Kotiyagala village. Our employees are regularly trained and provided with updated knowledge of the operations and developments related to organic agriculture.
The portfolio of products which was only limited to organic fertilizer for various commercial and general crops at the beginning has now expanded to include several traditional varieties of rice and vegetable seeds yielded from our own fields.
R&D has played a critical role in the company’s evolution and growth since its very beginning. Introducing organic fertilizer to the local market at a crucial juncture, expanding the portfolio, and making it possible for the farmers to reach these products within such a limited period has been a truly momentous feat achieved by Star Agri Team.
With extensive combined experience in agriculture, logistics, marketing, and management, the leadership of Star Agri Business Lanka spearheads the company’s vision to take Sri Lanka’s agriculture to new heights.
